Third Annual Bowling Fundraiser Recap
August is over and we turn the chapter on another successful bowling fundraiser. Between the prizes, the guests who spoke about congenital heart disease and their loved ones, multiple news stations showing up to cover our event, and of course the bowling, we are in awe and can’t stop smiling from how it unfolded.
All together we raised a whopping $5,000! Can you believe it?! Three years of doing this event and we have already raised close to $10,000 for congenital heart disease research. We are slowly making strides to make the lives for these children a little better each day.
It all started with an idea to get this foundation to big heights and to do that, we needed a big team and a strong support system. Thankfully, because of all of you that show up year in and year out to the fundraiser and spread the word via social media/word of mouth, we are reaching those heights at a faster pace than we ever imagined. I mean we got Jon freaking Dorenbos to spread the word about this event! The Philadelphia Eagles long snapper who almost died from a heart defect and is now more famous than ever because of his strength and perseverance! We appreciate you Jon for all your support!
To see people wear our shirts and wrist bands around town and even across the US, to having people come up to us in person as well as reaching out to us via email to thank us for what we are doing; telling us how they are so happy that there is an organization like ours that is dedicated to helping their loved ones is truly amazing. We know we are doing something right when we hear the praise.
There are hiccups along the way because why wouldn’t there be? Nonetheless, our dedication to proving our mission to be something that’s important to everyone, we never lost sight of what we want to accomplish. To advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart disease.
We are finally starting to do more because we believe we can and we should. That’s why later this year we will be hosting a toy drive for the children at CHOP for those who don’t get to have the Christmas they deserve. More on that late on!
We write this blog to say THANK YOU once more to every one of you. Thank you for your support, your generosity, your shares on social media, your messages, your raffle basket donations, the corporate sponsors, your kindness, your love, your praise, and so much more. Thank you all for making our goals reach the heights they deserve and more importantly, thank you for making a difference in these kids lives.
Never Miss A Beat! #LetsDoMore
